Northeastern School District Athletics


The Northeastern School District Athletic Department oversees and manages all interscholastic sports programs within the district's schools. Its primary goals include fostering student-athlete development, promoting physical fitness, and instilling values like teamwork, sportsmanship, and discipline. The department is responsible for ensuring compliance with state athletic association rules, scheduling games, managing facilities, hiring coaches, and budgeting. Our vision  centers on creating a positive and inclusive athletic environment that supports academic success and builds character, while striving for competitive excellence.

Congratulations to all the track and field athletes who competed in the YAIAA Championships  at Dallastown High School.

Everyone competed admirably and we are proud of all our athletes. 

The following athletes placed in their respective events:

  • John Gorkoyah - 8th in the 400 meters
  • Griffen Ridler - League Champion in the 3200
  • The boy's 4x400 team of Isaiah Weaver, Luke Reitzel, John Gorkoyah, and Steven Hutchins placed 7th
  • The boy's 4x800 team of Isaiah Weaver, Luke Reitzel, Korbin Richard, and Griffen Ridler placed 3rd with a new school record time!
  • Nick Pryor - 3rd in the shot put
  • Melanie Coleman - 5th in the 400
  • Sophia Treglia - 3rd in the 1600 and 7th in the 800
  • Jenny Kramer - 5th in the javelin
  • The girl's 4x800 team of Sierra Blaker, Sophia Gladfelter, Rebekah Wertz, and Sophia Treglia placed 4th
  • Ava Metzler - League Champion in the long jump, 3rd in the triple jump with a new school record, and 4th in the 100!
